Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father. He's director of an online company and businessman. As a child of a Catholic home, she was brought up in the Manhattan's Upper East Side. The parents of her were enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious religious institution. The music she has always been her passion. In the early years of her life she started to learn the piano. By age thirteen the first song she wrote was composed. Nights at open mics were her favorite. Her most favored artists included David Bowie, Madonna and Queen Michael Jackson. She studied music at the Tisch School of Art of New York University after completing her secondary schooling. But after completing high school, she entered the Tisch School of Fine Arts at the New York University to pursue a degree in music.
